    How Chris Sullivan Transformed To Play Toby On This Is Us

    When asked about the "fat suit" controversy on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in October 2017, Chris Sullivan wasn't initially all that sympathetic to fans.

    "I think one, that the show is just too good, they had to find something wrong with it," he said of the backlash. "Two, I can understand why people feel fooled by things they see on TV," he continued.

    While it might be a huge transformation for Toby, it's important to remember that Chris wore a "fat suit" in the first few seasons of the show.
